Historic Milestone For Datacard’s 150i

Datacard announced that the company recently shipped its 10,000th Datacard 150i card personalisation system, a desktop instant issuance system that embosses preprinted ATM, debit and credit cards in minutes. This productive system is ideal for banks, credit unions and retailers that want to offer new card products, increase revenue and strengthen customer loyalty.

“Datacard introduced instant issuance,” said Connell Smith, VP, Desktop Solutions, Datacard. “It has made a huge impact on customer satisfaction and lowered the risk of lost cards. No other company has installed as many instant payment card solutions as us. The long lifespan of the 150i system represents Datacard's consistent commitment to the instant issuance market.”

The 150i system offers a variety of personalisation features including a new smart card coupler option that enables financial card issuers to offer ready-to-use contact or contactless payment cards. These popular and convenient cards give consumers immediate purchasing power. Additional upgrades to the 150i system include an improved embossing module that increases reliability and an enhanced card path that streamlines production.

“Very few products demonstrate this kind of longevity,” said Connell. “This is a proven and successful card personalisation system that has filled an important niche in the desktop embossing market for more than a decade. It would not have reached this milestone without continuously meeting customer needs for card quality, reliability and affordability.”
