ACG Strengthens APAC Sales Team With Vernon Heng

ACG Identification announced the appointment of Vernon Heng as Sales Director SEA, to be based at ACG's APAC regional headquarters in Singapore.

Vernon HengVernon Heng has significant professional experience in sales and marketing, including the last nine years with Gemplus Asia. He acquired his broad knowledge of smart card products and services by handling sales and marketing responsibilities in a range of market segments including telecommunications, banking, loyalty programmes / retail, e-security and e-ticketing. Vernon was a member of a pioneering team at Gemplus Asia which supported the implementation of the first smart card based applications in Singapore and neighbouring countries.

As new Sales Director - SEA for ACG, Vernon will serve the local markets based in ACG's Asia-Pacific regional headquarters in Singapore.

"Due to the increasing activity within our semiconductor distribution business and the expansion of the local mobile communication and identification market, ACG expects sales in the APAC region to increase significantly in 2004", says Holger Roessner, MD APAC at ACG. "Vernon Heng will play a significant role in our team, supporting our local customers with his expertise and enriching the vendor independent consultancy we offer. His track record in establishing fruitful and long lasting relationships with card manufacturers and system integrators means he has the skills to support ACG in building important new connections with local partners and clients."

Vernon Heng holds a Bachelors degree in Communications from Murdoch University in Western Australia and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Adelaide.
